This series has been generated primarily on the computer and represents an evolution of woman’s role in society. The relative lack of warmth and humanity as evidenced by the lifelessness of the mannequins and the fact that we even generate art on the computer now speaks of how mechanized and perfect we are trying to become. As we distance ourselves from our unique identity and all try to become the same in perfect appearance we go farther and farther to make ourselves unique.
Women’s necessity to juggle their corporate, professional perfect image with their previous roles and images in society is extracting some price. The need for men and women both to not just change their wardrobes but their bodies with surgery, body piercing, makeup, etc is also spoken about in these images.
We are raising babies in test tubes and distancing ourselves more and more from our human selves. How far will we go?
